Tiger & Bunny, episode 7: the introduction of Lunatic. This is the moment where T&B went from “pretty cool” to “holy cow this is awesome”. There are a lot of minor problems that prevent this series from being an enduring classic, but those problems are furthest from my mind when I’m wrapped up by the plot & the characters every Saturday night.

This is the result of the efforts of three students from the National Taiwan University of the Arts. It is a beautiful animation about a young girl and her dog, and the imagination at her beck and call. It inspires nothing short of awe and jealousy from me.

Here’s hoping that the three who worked on this go on into the animation industry full bore, because I sit here EAGERLY awaiting whatever else may be percolating in their imaginations.

This is a lovely little Korean animation that accurately reflects how I feel in the morning (and I suspect, many of you who may be reading this at some ungodly hour at night).
